Executive Development Program Attribute Showcase Brief - Integrate Overview: Amgen is operating in a rapidly changing global business environment. In order to evolve into a future-ready organization and deliver on our commitments, we have defined a new set of Leadership Attribute’s (Inspire, Accelerate, Integrate, Adapt) and the program you are embarking on has been designed in part to develop these. The following pre-work group task is focused on the attribute ‘Integrate’.   INTEGRATE Connect the dots to amplify the collective power of Amgen to drive results for patients, staff and shareholders. WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE • Embody a whole-company mindset. • Seek cross-functional partners for key decisions. • Empower teams to make trade-offs at the functional level when needed, in service of success at the enterprise level. • Anchor to a long-term view of success for Amgen when defining and delivering success for their team. Task: Your task (between now and the in-person module) is to find and harvest at least one story/example from Amgen of excellence in this attribute. The story/example must be specific and can come from within your group or harvested from the broader organization. Your team will have 15 minutes (10 minutes to present, 5 minutes for Q&A) to share your findings with the cohort and other leaders on day one of the in-person module. How you choose to present the story/example is up to you but given the time you have the output should be concise, relevant, engaging, and educational. Please make sure to include the business context: what was the situation, what you were trying to achieve, and what were the results – as well as how demonstrating excellence in the ‘Integrate’ attribute helped achieve the desired results. You should aim to leave your audience thinking about how to apply the learning/principles back into their own areas of responsibility. As part of your preparation for this showcase, please create a one-page summary to share with the program management team – using the template on the next page. After the module, we plan to post all the showcases on a central site.
